MERI Forum 2024 - Towards Good Governance & Prosperity
MERI Forum is the Middle East Research Institute’s flagship annual event which brings together local, national and international policy-makers, academics, opinion leaders, civil society activists, journalists and diplomats to debate the high priority issues that are affecting our region and offer solutions to decision-makers. The ultimate objective of the Forum is to promote peace, stability and prosperity in Iraq and the wider Middle East through engagement, dialogue and collective investment.
As such, MERI Forum 2024 will revolve heavily around Iraq’s immediate policy priorities, the ever-changing regional dynamics and the opportunities available for international engagement and collaboration. A range of topical themes have been selected for policy debates and in-depth analysis, including: the evolving global and regional power dynamics, US policies in the Middle East, peace in the Levant, Iraq’s role in the neighbourhood, tackling Iraq’s fragility and learning from other international experiences, Iraq political economy and reforming its financial system, institutionalisation of centre-periphery relations, ethno-religious coexistence, and more.
Attendance at the conference will be by invitation and registration only.
Conference capacity will be 225 persons maximum. 150 sponsored (i.e. free) seats will be allocated to invited guests and applicants on a first come first served basis.
Registration fees depend on delegate’s affiliation and time of application (before or after 15 October deadline).
