The klija is one of the most famous types of cakes spread in Iraq which are prepared on various festivals of Muslims, Christians, and different religions and sects in the country.
Klija is a dough that is stuffed with dates with a group of spices such as cardamom and ginger, or with other fillings such as coconut with cardamom and sugar, then baked in the oven, and served alongside tea or coffee.
